Meet Sue Henderson

As you will come to know, our owner Sue Henderson's mantra is, “Drink more water!” When we meet a new client, proper hydration is the first thing that we address. Many adults (and especially seniors) are chronically dehydrated and don't realize it. Being properly hydrated can drastically improve health.

Sue Henderson “Our balanced approach focuses on the whole person, their nutritional, physical and emotional needs. We realize that aging adults are rich in experience and abilities no matter what age, and they have a lot to offer us.”

Case Study #1

Doreen* was recently released from a Cincinnati hospital after an illness. Her family was prevented from being there to help bring her home. Our case manager was there to help. She make sure that the care facility correctly recorded Doreen's condition at discharge and then helped her get settled at home with the services she needed. (*name and details altered for privacy)

Testimonials/Reviews

Connecting Hearts has been caring for my mom for over a year now. The quality of the staff and the customer service has been outstanding. Sue and her team always go out of their way to meet the needs of their clients. As a next of kin that lives out of state, it is a blessing to know that the kind people at Connecting Hearts are looking after my mom. I would definitely recommend their services to those seeking in-home care for their loved ones.

Connecting Hearts is a godsend! When my mother became too frail to live by herself we moved her in with us. The dependable and compassionate caregivers provided excellent care and companionship. We were able to go to work without worrying because she was in good hands with Connecting Hearts.

All of our Professional Home Care Assistants are trained for a minimum of 8 hours before working with any client. Many of our caregiverss are CNAs or CNAs in training as well. We also provide monthly training for all of our employees so that they may improve their skills and keep their knowledge up to date.

No. We only provide non-medical care, but we can help arrange for nursing care if needed. Sue Henderson (our owner), is a former registered nurse and has a great working relationship with the medical professionals in our region. Many of our caregivers are CNAs or CNAs in training. As far as medications go, we can give clients gentler reminders and help them track their medications. We can help clients open medication containers, but we cannot administer medication.
